AJ Gentile is an American producer, writer, actor, and YouTube creator best known for creating, writing, and hosting The Why Files—a channel that explores conspiracy theories, mysteries, and unexplained phenomena through sharp storytelling paired with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Before building a massive audience on YouTube, Gentile spent years working in Hollywood as a producer and writer. His credits include projects such as The Naughty Show and Stoned Science, along with voice-over work, including roles on The Legend of Korra. In 2011, he also co-founded SpeedWeed, a cannabis delivery service, alongside his brother Gino and his wife Jen.
